1966

Founding

In a ground floor locale of just 60 m2 in the Gipuzkoana town of Ibarra, Antonio Artola and Agustín Isasti (founding partners), began the journey of Cadinox.  The main activity was based on the preparation of carbon steel works for the area’s traditional paper industry.

1970

Stainless steel work begins

Driven by the requirements of customers in the paper sector, Cadinox accepted the challenge of addressing stainless steel jobs, mainly austenitic steel, starting the development of a catalogue of capabilities that has never stopped growing.

1972

Transfer to the first pavilions of Belauntza

After 6 years of continuous work, the demand for work increases.  It is then that Cadinox makes a geographical and qualitative leap, settling in a larger warehouse in Belauntza.

1983

New sectors aside from paper

A series of stainless steel pressure vessels for the canning sector begins an era in which Cadinox becomes a multi-sector company.  Subsequently, orders started coming from the mining and iron and steel industries.

1988

Transfer to the current Belauntza location

The increase in size of the demanded products propelled the company to make its next transfer.  Only one hundred metres away, Cadinox inaugurates its current headquarters at Póligono Okobio 32.

1998

First expansion of Okobio 32 facilities

The finishing section is expanded with a new warehouse, where a carbon steel shot blasting enclosure, a stainless steel blasting enclosure, and a third painting zone are added.

2002

First Sacem machining system

In a differentiating commitment to offer comprehensive service, Cadinox adds the machining section and builds a 3rd warehouse (machining section).  It first acquires a Sacem 300 boring machine of 14000x3500x1500 mm with a 50-ton turntable.

2005

Generational replacement

The 2 founding partners end their working career and are relieved by the second generation of the Artola and Isasti families.

2012

3rd expansion, cutting area + sheet storage

Reinforcing process integration, an expansion is carried out to house a new cutting table and free up space in the boiler-making area for the assembly and welding of increasingly bulky and/or complex pieces.

2013

Clean room

The growing demand for a clean environment in the fields of science and vacuums pushes for the fabrication of a clean room, which, along with training in  cleaning procedures and tests, allows users to successfully handle high vacuum (HV) work.

2013

Start of cultural change

Creating a participatory organization, developing a shared vision and adopting management models that give all the prominence to people and teams, without giving up any economic aspirations.

2015

4th machining system

Lathe/Milling machine to respond to large volume demands.

2016

50th anniversary of Cadinox

Since 1966!  A great achievement that had its deserved celebration.

2017

Implementation of the DBR (Drum Buffer Rope) production management philosophy in order to balance and optimize all resources.
